I don’t often take photographs of signs, but the following hopefully fit the bill for this weeks challenge of The Sign Says.
On visiting the Paralympics in London last year, my daughter was keen to ‘play’ with the signage…
Either she is huge….
For this weeks challenge, I found myself looking at some photos taken last year.
We went for a walk in the Ashridge woods on my daughter’s birthday in April. Although we watched the deer for some time, this is the only decent photo I managed to get!
Escape can mean so many things, but to me freedom is what it says most. So for this weeks challenge, I have focused on escaping to freedom.
This photo shows the start of a balloon race, just after they escaped from the hands of the local school children. The colours are representative of the house colours, yellow being the house of my daughter.

This weeks photo challenge is From Above. Change your perspective on something. Share a photo of a subject which you shot from directly above.
Being ‘new’ to WordPress, I’ve been taking a look around, and discovered The Daily Post and subsequently this challenge. It reminded me of these photos, which were taken in 2011. We were fortunate to be able to go over to Canada and stay with a family, whose son we had hosted during his soccer team’s tour to England earlier the same year. The previous summer, my son had spent time with this team when his school sports tour went to the Toronto area.
Taken “From Above” as we travelled down Canada!
